Overview
Job Purpose
The Retail Permitting Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of permitting and inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply for permits via driving, email, website, or fax
- Make adjustments for permits via driving, email, website, or fax
- Call in inspections via phone, email, or website
- Maintain logs for all permits and inspections
- Other logs and projects may be required as needed
Qualifications
- Experienced preferred in the HVAC industry or similar
- Excellent customer service skills for communicating with builders and other representatives
- Must be a very strong multitasker and work effectively in, what can sometimes be, a loud and hectic environment
- Must be able to use Windows and programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and normal internet use
- The ability to work as a team and communicate effectively with your peers
- Well groomed, neat appearance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work days, some nights and some weekends
Working Conditions
- General office environment
- Business casual dress
- The employee is located in a busy, open area office and is required to participate in meetings
- Deadline driven tasks
- Occasional overtime or weekend work
- Daily phone, email and personal interaction with Municipalities, Installers, Builder Representatives, and with multiple departments, Field Supervisors, Managers and co-workers within our organization
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 20 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry; long hours of sitting and /or standing and using office equipment and computers; kneel, crouch, squat; reach overhead; bend/twist at waist and neck; climb stairs; grasp/fine pinch objects; computer keyboarding
